Shots Fired In Springfield

Springfield deputies were called to the area of 14^th Street and Avenue B, Thursday morning and found that a verbal argument had escalated to a shots fired incident.

A 25 year-old man had fired several shots at a 25 year-old Battle Creek woman. The woman was unharmed, except for a laceration to the hand which was treated by the Battle Creek Fire Department.

A handgun was recovered at the scene and the Battle Creek man was taken into custody.
