Kalamazoo Police Officer Kills Attacking Dog

Police shot and killed a dog in Kalamazoo last night after it attacked an officer.  Police were responding to an assault reported on Lay Boulevard shortly before 7 when the dog came out of the house and charged them and bit one on the leg.  Three shots were fired, killing the dog; the officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.
