Bells Brewery has created a doctor's note that will get you out of work on Monday, March 23, no matter where you work.

It just depends on how gullible and laid back your bosses are. Monday, March 23, is Oberon Day, and everybody in Southwest Michigan knows that this is basically like a holiday.

For those who indulge and celebrate all day long, the doctor's note might want to be used for Tuesday, March 24, but you obviously need the 23rd off too, because the celebrations are beginning at 10 AM when the store opens for purchase, but 11 AM is when all the festivities get going in downtown Kalamazoo.

With that being said, Bell’s Brewery has designed a doctor's note for you to hand into your boss just so that you are clear to enjoy the festivities and they are aware that you won’t be showing up to work. The note reads as follows:

Dear ________,
Please excuse ________ from _______ on March 23. The winter blues are like, kinda out to get them. Ya know?
For immediate treatment, we strongly request their presence at OBERON DAY!
Cheers, (literally)
Dr. Obie Ron M.D.
I’m taking it that the MD in their name stands for Malt Doctorate. Either way, it’s a funny way of reminding people that in a few short weeks, over on day will be in full effect, just make sure your boss knows that you’ll basically be worthless the next day.

But that's the price we pay for celebrating the beginning of Spring and the return of some of our favorite beers.

Kalamazoo Woman's Maternity Shoot At The Root Beer Stand

The shoot started out as a joke kinda like "wouldn't it be funny if we did a maternity session here at The Root Beer Stand?" Then the more I thought about it I was like okay we are going to make this happen.
