Michigan’s Haunted Attractions Bring Halloween Scares From Pontiac To Kalkaska This Season
We tracked down 10 of Michigan's best haunted attractions that are worth the drive this Halloween season, and two of them are right here in Southwest Michigan.
Many people associate the beginning of September with the start of spooky season, and people start celebrating all things Halloween. As we prepare for the season of the witch, The Scare Factor assembled 10 Michigan haunted attractions all over the Lower Peninsula that are definitely worth the drive and putting in your Halloween itinerary.
This isn’t a ranked list by any means; it serves more as a way for you to check out some of the most standout attractions in the state and some that are the most well-known.

Erebus Haunted Attraction — Pontiac

Erebus is one of Michigan's most famous haunted attractions that occupies a massive four-story structure in downtown Pontiac.
Nightmare Realm — Mattawan

Niles Scream Park — Niles

This 44-acre property features multiple attractions, including the Niles Haunted House, Haunted Duplex, Field of Screams, Wicked Woods, and HOODED, along with a midway featuring food, games, entertainment, and other activities.
Azra Chamber of Horrors — Madison Heights

Azra is an indoor haunted attraction that's built inside a former 20,000-square-foot Laser Quest/Laser Tag facility. It features four separate haunted houses and more than 40 rooms
Terrorfied Forest — Pinckney
619 Pearl St., Pinckney
The attraction features a roughly 1.5-mile haunted forest trail, which takes about 30–45 minutes. It's located on the same property as Hell Survivors Paintball and Airsoft.
Awaken Haunted Attraction — Leslie
4760 Churchill Road, Leslie
Awaken combines elaborate sets, professional actors, special effects and multiple themed experiences. The 2026 season runs on select dates from late September through Halloween.
Hush Haunted Attraction — Westland

The 2026 attraction features three haunted houses, a scare zone, photo opportunities, a horror boutique and secret bars. The attraction operates from late September into early November.
Eloise Asylum — Westland

Eloise is particularly creepy because the horror experience is built around the historic Eloise complex. The site dates back to the 19th century and now combines haunted attractions with paranormal investigations, escape rooms, and history tours.
Rotten Manor — Holly

Rotten Manor is actually a collection of haunted experiences. Visitors can experience the Manor, Rotten Forest/Asylum, Rotten Hayride and Rotten Theatre, plus the House of Wax and a midway.
Screams in the Dark — Kalkaska
5548 M-66, Kalkaska
Screams in the Dark calls itself Northern Michigan's largest haunted event. Its 2026 experience includes Blackwood Manor, Trails of the Lost, and Pandemonium, along with an expanded midway. New for 2026 are escape games, a burial simulation, Psycho Spin, and axe throwing.
