Child Killed in Kalamazoo Shooting

A boy was fatally shot in Kalamazoo last evening.  Gunfire was reported on Lay Boulevard shortly after 7pm and Police say they found a 13-year-old boy, identified as Michael Day, with a single gunshot wound.  Day was taken to Bronson – Kalamazoo where he was pronounced ‘dead.’  Investigators say they have several leads in the case but would like anyone with information to contact them or Silent Observer.
